Let's Find Out Together!
Hi, my name is Paul Maturkanic - I am a Family Dispute Resolution Advocate and Certified Alternative Dispute Resolution Divorce Coach.I assist and help people with distressed marital and post-marital relationships and issues related to divorce. I advocate for family, peace, and the best possible solutions.I provide divorce & relationship coaching that is custom tailored to each client.
It is built fully around the client’s needs and circumstances.
It puts a strong emphasis on goals and creative solutions in the most effective ways.
The title, or the term divorce coach, and the concept are relatively new to the general public and are sometimes a little misleading. In 2013, the American Bar Association added Divorce Coaching to its list of alternative dispute resolution methods because of its benefits to people going through a divorce.
What divorce coaching IS,What divorce coaching IS NOT
Divorce coaching is NOT:
teaching how to get divorced
coaching, or helping to get divorced
legal counseling/advising
Divorce coaching IS:
A flexible, goal-oriented, interest-based process that’s highly individualized.
- It guides, supports, and motivates the client along the way to help them make the best possible decisions for now and for their future. It is exploring, finding, recognizing, and realizing issues, problems, connections, and solutions.
It is strategic planning, organizing, implementing, and managing all that’s necessary to achieve desired goals.
It is conflict management and emotional management
My goal:
Is to empower my client with information, education, tools, and strategies.
- As a result, they can make informed decisions, avoid pitfalls, and reach a timely and peaceful resolution.
The end result:
minimizing emotional impact
reaching agreement faster
saving money
After accomplishing this, the client can look and move forward with hope and a compelling, meaningful vision.
My role:
Is unique in my client's case. Instead of just filing a motion, evaluating pension, or performing other specific service, I walk alongside the client, bringing out their best through their divorce and beyond.
Discover your best self!
Yes!
You need to bring your absolute best to
succeed in divorce.
Divorce is stressful,
Divorce is overwhelming,
Divorce can be expensive, … very expensive.
Divorce affects everyone involved.
Divorce doesn’t bring people’s best to the surface. It’s the opposite.
Judges could tell you how bad people at criminal trials put on their best behavior
while good people at divorce trials show up at their worst.
Be different, It will pay off!
But what do you do with your vicious, narcissistic spouse or ex-spouse?
Does your stomach flip every time they message or email you?
How restful are your nights?
How easy is it for you to switch off and enjoy your weekends or time with your kids?
What about your lawyer? How frustrated and disappointed are you with them? Is money the only thing they seem to care about? …and once you pay, they play hide and seek with you,
…and if there is communication, how is it? Does it seem like they speak a foreign language?
Do you feel the court system is broken, not fair, and doesn't work for people seeking help and justice?
Perhaps you haven’t reached that point, but your marriage is not as you envisioned or
what it once was. Don't let it get there!
The divorce process and the whole experience are ugly, it’s overwhelming. Even just a thought of it can be scary. The first moments of learning the news, even when anticipated, are shocking;
“Is this really happening to me?...”
If you have these or similar feelings as so many other people, don't despair.
They are completely normal wherever you are on your journey.
It is possible to recover and save
even the most distressed marriages. And when divorce is inevitable,
it is possible to minimize its negative impacts.
Where there is a problem, there is a solution!
Divorce statistics may be grim, but it doesn’t have to be so always.
Here are just a few numbers:
Martindale-Nolo Research1 found that:
the average cost of a divorce to be $11,300 in the U.S.
While divorce with no major contested issues costs $4,100,
a divorce that goes to trial on at least one issue costs over $20,000
and highly contested divorces with more issues go exponentially higher in cost.
According to lawyers.com survey2:
Average divorce with children costs $15,500
and lasts 15 monthsAverage divorce without children costs $10,100
and lasts 11 months.
The majority of the costs are usually lawyers’ legal fees. Individuals should not forget other costs of divorce, including indirect expenses still related to the divorce, like splitting your household into two and all that comes with it.
And, of course, there are emotional impacts that numbers cannot capture.
Given examples are just some…averages.
People often find their own numbers shocking in the end.On the other hand, there are cases where individuals spend only a few hundred to file the paperwork themselves and have an uncontested divorce.
What Will Your Numbers Look Like?
Will you be a part of statistics?
My desire for you is to be educated and well-positioned to
make

Disclosure & Declaration
I work with people from all backgrounds, but I specialize in biblical approach.
I look at the world and treat the world from a biblical perspective. If you are a Christian, I believe you’ll find exceptional value in my approach and will appreciate it greatly.
If you are not a Christian, I won’t impose my values and my beliefs on you, but I also won’t go against them. The truth is, I can see so often how people, regardless of their beliefs, benefit from wisdom, morals, principles, and concepts given to us by God.
"...the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere" (James 3:17)
As far as my personal life in relation to my work,
I am the father of a wonderful young girl, who is the best daughter I could ever imagine for me. Unfortunately, that came at a high price. Yes, I am divorced myself. On the flip side, I have several years of experience with lawyers, judges, mediators, guardian ad litem, and other professionals involved in family law and family matters. This experience extends way beyond an average divorce experience, thanks to the nature of my divorce and circumstances afterward. These invaluable experiences are in addition to the education and divorce coach certification I received through intensive study from an institution that emphasizes high standards of their education and their students.
One of my passions in life is tennis, so besides being a big tennis fan, I am also a tennis coach. I love working with people, seeing their improvements, and how my work impacts their lives.
After all my divorce and post-divorce experiences, I felt compelled to help people who are in a similar situation. Divorce coaching is a perfect way to achieve that. For me, it is also an ideal way to balance my work in the office with work outdoors on a tennis court.
Going through these difficult times alone and dealing with all that comes your way and is inevitable is not easy.
Let’s face it - it’s hard.
Unfortunately, even well-meaning friends or family members may sometimes cause more harm than good.
I’m glad you are searching for help.
Are you ready to enter the path to better tomorrow?
The sooner you start walking, the sooner you’ll get there
Here's Your First Step
YOU may be
a woman, or a man,
- emotionally led, feeling-oriented,…
- perhaps with a strong sense for structure and a “get to the point” mentality,
- maybe somewhere in between;
Whatever your unique needs, circumstances, and style,
I’ll meet you there, and we’ll approach our work and your journey from that position.
If you are already in a messy situation, it’s still not too late to start working with me.
but the sooner we start working together:
- the better chance of better results we’ll have
- the better chance of an easier, more relaxed process for you, and
- the better timing of your steps and actions
My initial consultation is a 60-minute video call, and it’s absolutely free.
We’ll be able to get to know each other and evaluate your situation in a little more depth than we could otherwise in a typical 30-minute introductory call. Our video calls mean you can do it from the comfort of your home without traveling and all that comes with it.
My business hours are flexible, making it easy for my clients to schedule appointments.
A typical video session is about 60 minutes but can last anywhere from 45 to 75 minutes. My goal is to help the client. Having a set time wouldn't be always in the best interest of the client.
To make it truly beneficial to the client, the length of the sessions does not affect the charge for the sessions.
I price my services with people in mind; otherwise, they wouldn’t be very helpful if people couldn’t afford them, would they?
Are you ready to be treated right? Let’s evaluate your situation and create a customized package for you.
